Surge Control Capacitors are designed for remote control (surge) couplers that transmit signals to high- and very-high-voltage systems.
Surge remote control is used to control the power system. This allows for switching heating systems, pumps, street lighting, air conditioning, or changing consumption tariffs.
The surge signal is transmitted to the MV and HV power networks via an IGBT transmitter and a corresponding parallel or series connection. Parallel couplings consisting of surge control capacitors, coupling transformers, and other devices are often used.
