CC capacitor contactors are suitable for switching low-inductive, low-loss capacitors in reactorless and reactor-equipped capacitor banks. CC capacitor contactors are designed to meet the capacitor duty application. The contactors are equipped with a block of three early-make auxiliary contacts in series with six damping resistors, two per phase. These auxiliary contacts limit the peak current during the first phase of switching. The nominal current is then transferred through the main contacts, which are switched in the next phase, simultaneously closing the auxiliary contacts.
